HammondCare has engaged Taylor Construction to manage current approved works for HammondCare Darlinghurst at 118A Darlinghurst Road, Darlinghurst, next to St Johns.
Taylor is a reputable Tier 2 construction company based in North Sydney.
Latest site works
A qualified hygienist was engaged to provide reporting and clearance for identified bonded Asbestos Fibre Cement cladding located on the existing service station structure.
All asbestos has been removed and disposed as per SafeWork NSW requirements. A clearance certificate for the asbestos removal has been issued by the hygienist. A copy is on the external boundary site fencing of Darlinghurst and Victoria Streets.
The existing structure will now be demolished. Air monitoring will be in place during demolition Further site ground testing will occur over the next two week period.
On September 21, HammondCare Darlinghurst received a site visit from Federal Member for Sydney, Tanya Plibersek.
Archaeological investigation is planned to begin in the next 3 – 4 weeks.
Upon clearance of the site from the engaged archaeologist the process of removing the four existing in ground UST tanks will commence.
The removal of the in-ground UST tanks is managed in consultation with SafeWork NSW.
